We were on a road trip to visit the redwoods when our dog met a Porcupine in Crescent City. As we made our way up Hwy 101 we stopped at 3 vets along the way and called multiple only to be turned away. Ocean Veterinary in Coos Bay didn't hesitate and got us scheduled right away. They were all so very empathetic and kind and clear with the information. Sampson was very well taken care of and we were back on the road in no time homeward bound. Dr. New has gone above and beyond to try to help our dog Pancake and to walk us through all the new information with patience and compassion. I believe she truly cares about Pancake and will try her best to do everything for her that we can.

Dear Team Ocean Boulevard Veterinary Hospital, Thanks so much for the amazing & awesome care you gave to our 2-yr-old lab, Sailor. You found a way to fit him in w/out an appointment because you heard the concern in our voices that something was terribly wrong. You first examined him w/extensive attention & care w/blood work & a urinalysis. When that came back only slightly elevated, you put him through the next step of an x-ray. You discovered Sailor had swallowed a plastic squeaky toy that got lodged in his large intestines! You immediately made time for a successful surgery to remove the obstruction & save his life. Russ & I are infinitely grateful to have Sailor here w/us today, doing what he does best . . . raising hell! Looks like we found you just in the knick of time. Thank you for helping me today with our family's best friend of almost 16 years, it was a tough start to our day and your staff made a hard thing easier. Not easy having to put a dog down. Its nice that people still care for others and I felt that today when everyone at Ocean treated this as an urgent, delicate and private moment.

Dr Hennessy is a gem she makes you and your pet both comfortable. Explains everything asks if you have questions there's a lot of respect going on. Nice.

We are new patients to Ocean Veterinary because we are new residents of Coos Bay! The front staff are very professional and helpful, my 2 fury companions chart records were in their office by our first visit. The Vet and the assistant are both professional, attentive, gentle, informative and kind. The fees are reasonable, the facility is clean, the location is convenient, the wait was timely, and the visit summary was clear and easy to understand. I was very happy with the way I was treated the respect I was given the fairness I was giving and the way they went out of their way to take care of my situation I left her very very happy I had no problem paying the bill it was very reasonable they went above and beyond the call of duty I was very happy man when I left I love my dog I give him 10 Stars

The staff at Ocean Veterinary Hospital are exceptionally friendly—to both furbabies and their humans—and consistently knowledgeable and compassionate. The facilities are always clean, welcoming, and cheerful, which makes every visit a positive experience. My pets and I genuinely feel valued and cared for each time we come in. The team has taken the time to get to know us personally, and that relationship means a great deal. We never feel like just customer numbers or dollar signs—only like beloved patients receiving thoughtful, attentive care.
